Aristolochia Grandiflora

An inflated pouch opens to a huge, 8 inch wide bloom with a long 'tail' that gently drapes on heart shaped foliage. A deep red center opens out into a a network of burgundy patchwork over a creamy-white background. This gorgeous and unusual variety begins blooming in spring and continues right up to frost in full to part sun. Hardy only in zone 10, Grandiflora can be grown in containers on a trellis and be brought indoors during winter and with training can be kept in hanging baskets where a managable size of 2-3 feet can be obtained.
