Coccinia sessilifolia NEW FOR 2008

Native to South Africa, this rare vigorous vine boasts attractive deep green foliage which contrasts well with the pale yellow blooms and showy ripened fruit. White striped with occasional maroon spots, fruit turns bright red when ripe and is entirely edible with a slightly sweet flavor. Unripe fruit can be cooked and added to soups and stews.
