Cryptostegia Madagascariensis 'Purple Allamanda'

Commonly known as Rubber Vine and Purple Allamanda, cyrptostegia is a tropical vine that is native to Madagascar and Africa. Shiny, textured, emerald green leaves create a backdrop for 3 inch rosy-pink trumpet-shaped blooms, each lasting a day or more. Vines are covered with masses of blooms throughout the summer on 12-15 foot vines in full sun and well drained soil. Drought tolerant, this variety grows and blooms well in moist, loamy soil and excels in heat and humidity.
