Tecoma stans 'Yellow Bells'

$2.75

A member of the bignonia family, this scrambling shrub can be trained to a trellis or left on its own in the border. This beautiful and showy plant displays large clusters of bright yellow trumpet-shaped flowers that are held high above the foliage. Blooming from early summer until frost, Tecoma is drought tolerant, pest resistant and excels in heat and humidity. Reaching shrub-like proportions, this easy to grow Texas native can stay quite manageable with pruning and can also make a small tree that can reach 15-20 feet in temperate climates but can be pruned heavily to maintain a more compact size. Grown in borders or containers, Tecoma enjoys full to part sun and is hardy in zones 8-11. Pkt. 25
