Strawberry Spinach is a relatively unknown and unusual herb that is an edible annual plant with bright red edible fruits that resemble strawberries. The triangular, toothed leaves are thinner than spinach, very nutritious, and high in vitamins C and A. Tender shoots are used raw in salads or cooked like spinach. The fruits are juicy and tasty when mature. The juice from the flowers was also used as a red dye by natives. Flowering in summer, its easy to grow, it enjoys full sun and should be watered as needed, it is a very ornamental plant. Pkt. 50

Sow in moist potting mix lightly pressing seed into mix. Do not cover as light aids in germination. Keep at 70-74ºF. Transfer to 3 inch pots when 2 sets of leaves appear. Grow on in full sun and well drained soil.Germinates in 14-49 days.
