

Centaurea Chocolate (C. moschata ssp.suaveolens) has fluffy, double yellow flowers with a very strong scent of chocolate. Blooming from early summer to frost, Chocolate Centaurea grows to 2 feet in full sun and average soil. A carefree plant in the border, this makes an excellent cut flower, lasting up to 2 weeks in a vase. This is an easy plant to grow from seed and rewards you with multiple, fragrant blooms all summer. Sow in moist potting mix ¼ inch deep. Keep at 68-72 F. Cover or keep out of the light,needs darkness to germinate.Transplant to 3 inch pots when 2 sets of leaves appear. Germinates in 7-14 days.
