Dodecatheon media Shooting Star
$2.99
A native North American wildflower, Shooting Star forms a low rosette of rounded leaves and presents a 12- 20 inch stem of rose-pink flowers with swept back petals and a cluster of yellow stamens creating a point that gives the flower an appearance of a shooting star. Dodecatheon prefers a moist to wet site and is excellent for waterside planting but also does well in the border and woodland gardens. Plants will go dormant and disappear by mid summer, so be sure to not disturb the area. Blooms in late spring. Hardy to zone 4. Pkt. 25
