Spread seed evenly in shallow container over moist, well drained soil and cover lightly with mix or fine sand. Cover with clear plastic to retain moisture and allow light. Most seeds germinate within 3 weeks, but some take much longer, be patient. Once spines are showing, raise cover for ventilation during the day, do not let soil dry out.
