Flowering the first year from seed, this sun loving perennial grows 2-2½ ft. tall and is covered in extra-long flower spikes in shades of pink, violet-blue, and white from June to August. The showy blooms attract bees and butterflies and make long-lasting cut flowers. Sightseeing Mixture veronica is winter hardy to zone 3 and grows best in fertile to average soil with good drainage and will even weather short dry spells. Plants in the Sightseeing Series are great for mixed borders, cottage gardens, and wildflower displays. Pkt. 50

Sow in moist seed starting mix, just covering seed with a thin layer of mix or vermiculite. Germination takes 21-30 days at 70-75F. Sealing in a plastic bag after sowing is helpful. Place in the dark until the first seedlings appear and lower temperature to 66-69F until 2 sets of leaves appear. Transplant to garden 12 inches apart.
