

Grown at Thomas Jefferson's farm Monticello, the Hyacinth Bean has a long history of being an exceptional heirloom vine. It produces long spiked clusters of lavender flowers which are held above the purple tinged foliage and purple stems. Blooms turn into beautiful purple pods adding interest to the vine all summer. Pkt. 15 seeds.
Sow in moist potting mix 1/2 inch deep. Keep at 70-72 F. and bright light. Transplant to garden when 2 sets of true leaves appear. Or sow outdoors after danger of frost has passed in late spring. Germinates in 10-15 days.
